Sandy and I are happy to be celebrating our 5th year in business and the launching of our newest version of our TCR Software program called TCR Online. In doing so we have issued several press releases that are being published in various magazines. The web based magazine Women and BIZ has published an article about us and how we got started. Below is a link to that article:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 1, 2009 – Phoenix, Arizona – TCR (Traffic Control Rental) Software celebrates it’s 5th successful year with the launch of “TCR Online”, the new Web-based offering enabling traffic control rental businesses to track the thousands of pieces of equipment they use.
In 1994, Ken and Barbara Hyde, then owners of Statewide Barricade in Phoenix, AZ, needed to automate their traffic control rental business to track equipment rentals. They realized the software they needed didn’t exist so they developed their own.
They met and partnered with Sandy Ramsey from Programs R Us, Inc. of Gilbert, AZ. Sandy’s experience as a programmer and Barbara’s business experience made for a useful meeting of the minds. They were able to design a software program that catered to the unique needs of the barricade industry.
Statewide’s customers soon noticed how well their equipment was being tracked and the proactive approach Statewide was taking to keep them up on all of their various jobs.
The Hydes sold Statewide Barricade in 2001. Past employees who had come to depend on the tracking software later contacted the Hydes and Ms. Ramsey to purchase the software for new employers. Trafficade, who purchased Statewide, also purchased the software. “It’s become the backbone for our clients’ operations and we’re thrilled.” states Barbara Hyde, Partner.
This was the beginning of what is now TCR Software.
Today, after 5 years of growing TCR Software nationally, Hyde and Ramsey are proud to introduce “TCR Online”. With the help of Yagna Soft, they rewrote the software, originally developed in Microsoft Access. The new Web-based application uses Microsoft’s SQL database engine and enables TCR to offer customers the same features of the original software, plus many added benefits. By paying a small monthly licensing fee, companies can accurately track and bill their equipment rentals online without the larger up front expense of licensing software and buying the necessary hardware. In tough economic times, it allows companies to better utilize their cash flow for equipment purchases.
“Each charge has to be accurately calculated and tracked for companies to manage their bottom line. With our software and now lower-cost online offering, dispatchers can quickly create and print delivery tickets for drivers, jobs can be monitored and invoicing is a snap” states Sandy Ramsey, Partner at TCR Software.
With the online offering, TCR Software plans to add a lot of additional features such as RFID (radio frequency id) for tracking equipment, hand-held PDA type devices for drivers to complete tickets out in the field and a digital dashboard for management to see key elements of the business on one page.
